Denver Bronco's 4th WR Retires
Jerry Rice announced his retirement yesterday after finding out that Denver was only willing to offer him a spot as their 4th reciever, a position that demands a player participate on special teams.
Now I could fill up this space with glowing comments and stats about Rice, but thats what the big boys get paid for. So here is John Clayton's goodbye to Rice from espn.com.
The major question raised from John's article is that Rice's nickname the last few years of his career was the GOAT (Greatest of all time). Now this was shocking to me because I was under the impression that LL Cool J was the only one using the GOAT moniker.
Clearly there is room enough in this world for two GOATs, but I just hope this doesn't create beef between the 49ers and East Coast Rap.
