Oh wise one...

Why is Steve Spurrier called "The Old Ball Coach?" What is the origin of this nickname? And finally, did he choose the Game Cocks becuase he does, in fact, resemble a chicken or turkey? (Granted Cris Collinsworth resembles a turkey more than Spurrier, but maybe it's just Spurrier's voice that gives off the impression that he will gobble or give off a "ba-caaack" at a moments notice.)
